L’ornementation est une des caractéristiques principales de mon travail, j’ai toujours eu un penchant pour le kitsch. Le papier peint dénote pour moi le foyer, la nostalgie et le motif floral.
J’ai choisi le crêpe de soie pour son touché qui m’a charmé ainsi que son tombé. J’ai travaillé en imaginant mon travail évoluer vers la haute couture, voire la lingerie, tout en m’attachant à l’esthétique des échantillons de papier peint dans cette nuance de tons passés.
Le crêpe de soie n’a cessé de me surprendre : une fois mon projet mis en place, je me suis rendue compte que le tissage particulier de celui-ci fait qu’il s’enroule sur lui-même, donnant ainsi l’impression d’un papier corné par le temps.

Ornementation is one of the most important feature in my work, I have always had a crush for kitschiness. The wallpaper is for me related to the family, nostalgy and floral pattern.
I chose silk crepe for its touch and its fall which pleased me.
I worked on it with the idea of making it becoming a part of Haute Couture or even underwear but still working it as vintage wallpaper samples.
Silk crepe never stopped to amaze me : once every piece stuck with each other, i just realized that the particular weave of the fiber made it seem to aged paper.
